Database Management System for FORGE Center-based Operations
Rationale:
FORGE started its involvement with the work against commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) in 1995. Since then, FORGE’s child protection work through its Social Outreach Division has expanded its services to outreach work through its two Activity Centers and temporary shelter program for teenage boys and girls through its Residential Care Centers. With its evolving programs, FORGE has a growing wealth of experience and information that are valuable in evaluating effectiveness of interventions and designing future programs and services.
Currently, the program does not maintain a consolidated and standardized database of records of client information. A centralized database management system will provide an efficient way to store, retrieve and analyze data of the program and enhance the ability for report generation, monitoring and assessment of project implementation and generating studies and research on improving child protection work.
